We are a passionate and inclusive community dedicated to providing a
fun, supportive, and developmental environment
FC Premier Football Club, based in Great Barr, Birmingham, has been a cornerstone of youth and open-age football since its establishment in 1998. From humble beginnings, the club has grown substantially, now providing football opportunities for over 220 children and young adults, ranging from under 7s to open age teams. Our teams compete across various regional leagues, including Walsall, Central Warwick, AFA, and Birmingham, and we take pride in our representation at every level.

As a Charter Standard Club, FC Premier is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for all our players. This includes a fully qualified and CRC-checked Club Welfare Officer (CWO), who ensures that our club adheres to the highest safeguarding standards. Our current CWO, Craig Dorham, is available to address any concerns or questions related to welfare or child protection. You can contact him directly at 07812 733340 if needed.
Our coaches are fully qualified and have a genuine passion for teaching the game. They are dedicated to developing each player’s technical abilities, strategic understanding, and physical fitness while ensuring they enjoy their football journey. Coaches work closely with players to set personal goals, provide constructive feedback, and encourage growth in a positive, motivating environment.

Together, they work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of the club, from organising events to overseeing day-to-day activities. Their commitment helps create a positive and supportive environment where players can thrive.

FC premier Chairman
Paul Marriott
Paul Marriott has been part of FC Premier since 2001, he started as a parent and quickly got involved, first, as a volunteer helping with his son’s team, and then has been involved in various roles over the years since. He served as both the club’s Treasurer and Welfare Officer, ensuring the smooth running of the club but became Chairman of FC Premier, since then the club has continued to thrive with FA-qualified, DBS-cleared volunteers, coaching players from youth through to open age, and our FC Premier Football Academy has grown significantly.

Melvyn Carlin
Mel is a proud and dedicated member of FC Premier, having joined the club in 2015. His journey into the club began as an enthusiastic dad eager to get involved in the game, driven by his lifelong passion for football. Since then, Mel has been an integral part of the club and is passionate about fostering a strong sense of community both within the club and beyond. He is committed to taking FC Premier to the next level, ensuring a fun, supportive environment for players and families alike. Outside of football, Mel works as a carpenter, enjoys attending comedy clubs with friends. and is a Newcastle United fan.

FC Premier Secretary
Lisa Marriott
Lisa Marriott has over 9 years of experience as Secretary for FC Premier, she plays a crucial role in the club's operations, managing a wide range of responsibilities, including organizing meetings, handling communication with the FA, leagues, and coaches, overseeing team and club registrations, coordinating pitch bookings, and ensuring compliance with league and safeguarding requirements. Lisa’s dedication and attention to detail make her an essential part of maintaining the high standards and smooth functioning of FC Premier.

FC Premier Treasurer
John Duckett
John Duckett has been a key member of FC Premier since 2007, managing teams from Under 7’s to adult squads. As Treasurer since 2018, he oversees the club’s finances, ensuring timely payment of fees, managing reimbursements, and producing annual accounts for transparency. John regularly reviews club expenditures to maintain financial stability and collaborates with committee members to support the club’s growth and success. His dedication ensures that FC Premier remains financially strong and able to thrive.

FC Premier Academy Manager
Stacey Lane is a proud member of FC Premier, she started at FC Premier with an under-7s team for her nephew and has been here ever since. Stacey has been involved in various roles over the years and is currently supporting the club as Academy Manager and part of the entertainment committee. Professionally, Stacey works as a registration officer for Sandwell Council, which is based out of Sandwell Valley Crematorium. Stacey is an Aston Villa season ticket holder

FC Premier Child Welfare Officer
Craig Dorham is the dedicated Safeguarding Officer for FC Premier, combining his strong passion for football with a deep commitment to supporting children and ensuring their safety both on and off the pitch. With a focus on creating a positive and secure environment for all players, Craig plays a crucial role in upholding the values of the club.
Outside of football, Craig works for a well-known local and national media organization, where he spends his days keeping busy and out of trouble. His professional background and dedication to child welfare make him an invaluable part of the FC Premier team.
